Model 301D-WPG Above Grade / Cold Climate Sampling Station with Pressure Gauge

Product Description

The Model 301D-WPG is identical to the Model 301D except it includes an integrated pressure gauge for checking system pressure.  The gauge is mounted below the top ball valve and reads pressure when the primary ball valve is activated and the secondary valve is closed.  The stainless-steel gauge has a 2″ diameter face.  The gauge is glycerin filled, with 0-160 psi on the dial.

The 301D-WPG is an above grade sampling station for cold climates.  The 301D-WPG features all brass and stainless-steel waterway; stainless-steel spigot for flaming; a stainless-steel throttling valve and a stainless-steel 0-160 pressure gauge.  The standard inlet connection is a  ¾” CTS pack joint fitting but any inlet fitting may be custom ordered. The unit features a totally enclosed PVC housing which protects all operating mechanisms from ground contact.  The station features a highly impact-resistant polyethylene enclosure available in two standard colors: blue and green. Station security is provided through a locking hasp, which accepts a standard padlock. Additional station security is provided by a stainless-steel locking handle located on the throttling valve, which also accepts a standard padlock.

The Model 301D-WPG features a dry barrel design. Barrel evacuation is achieved through a ¼” copper evacuation tube and needle valve located at the top of the unit. Using a standard hand pump or compressed air, water is pumped or forced out of the barrel to a point below the frost line to achieve freeze protection. The 301D-WPG is available in three bury depths: 36”, 48” and 60”.

The 301D-WPG is activated by turning the main valve handle counterclockwise ¼ turn. The operator may then throttle the water flow using the spigot-mounted stainless-steel ball valve. When sampling is complete, the operator closes the main valve, opens ¼” evacuation valve, and evacuates the station.
