Product Description

The model 501-NL Flush and Sample hydrant provides ¾” flushing capabilities as well as a sampling point. The unit is mounted in the included Model 101 lockable polyethylene enclosure.

The unit is 100% non-corrosive, constructed from brass, bronze, stainless steel, and meets all “no lead” requirements. The 501 operating valve stem is protected from direct ground contact by a PVC housing.

The outlet is ¾”, 90-degree ell, and can swivel 360 degrees for any direction discharge. The 90-degree swivel discharge is replaceable with a sealed protective cap.  The cap is left in place when the unit is not in use. The main valve is operated by turning the operating handle ¼ turn clockwise. The sampling tap is a ¾” bronze spigot with no threads to harbor bacteria. The inlet is ¾” female NPT.

Freeze protection is accomplished by pumping the barrel free of water using a standard hand pump. Standard depth bury is 36”, with 48” and 60” available.  When ordering substitute bury depth for the xx suffix.
